You may wonder what the great need for a fitting is, as you just pop them in your ears, right? Well, there’s a bit more to it than that. Hearing Aid Fitting FAQs
Adjusting to new hearing aids takes time and patience. In rare cases, people may feel right at home with their new hearing aids after just a day or two, but that is largely the exception and not the rule.
In most cases, it can take a few weeks or even a couple of months to become fully used to new hearing aids, so don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t feel right at the beginning. If you’re struggling to adjust, start by wearing your new hearing devices at home for short amounts of time, then gradually keep it in for longer periods, although the more you wear them the quicker and better you will acclimate.
Some people really like to delve into details, and others just want to know the minimum they need to go about their business.
Whichever describes you is fine. Just know that you can always contact Memorial Hearing with any questions you have. Dr. Elly Pourasef and her friendly staff are happy to help walk you through the process from start to finish and will not let you settle for less-than-satisfactory hearing aids, as that is just not the way things are done at Memorial Hearing.
Many of Dr. Elly’s patients have been to other offices prior to finding Memorial Hearing, and constantly comment on how different the service and quality is versus other offices.
